| Lifeforce Records America is proud to announce the addition of Ohio’s Harlots to their roster!
With an uncompromisingly honest attitude, the influence of real life, and a sound that could be called their own, Harlots form together almost every kind of extreme music then shatter it to pieces with an ambient and progressive wall of sound. Forming in Ohio during the winter of 2002 and 2003, the band has survived by original members Jeff Lohrber and Eric Dunn, alongside Joshua Dillon and Christian Fillippo. Harlots has released two full length records, "The Woman You Saw is the Great City that Rules Over the Kings of the Earth" (Feeling Faint Productions, 2004) and "This is the Second Death" (Corrosive Recordings, 2006) which will be followed up in 2007 with a digital EP "The Human War Machine" (Corrosive Recordings, 2007.) Harlots has survived through 200+ shows all over the United States. 2007 has brought the band to its third and most diverse full length yet and Lifeforce Records America Debut, "Betrayer."
Jeff Lohrber of Harlots speaks about the signing:
"After almost 5 years, 2 full lengths, 1 EP, 200+ DIY shows in almost 30 states, a shitload of bad luck, and all of us finally being of age, we feel we have finally crafted a record that we are 100% proud of and will have the ability to make more. Harlots’ Lifeforce Records American debut “Betrayer” will see a late fall release. Co-produced by the band and Joel Lauver at Burning Bridge Recordings (Job For A Cowboy, Still Remains, Demiricous and Destroyer Destroyer), “Betrayer” encompasses an amazing grasp on metal and hardcore to create an amazingly creative and experimental musical outing.
